  If you're doing 3D work, Intels are better, but AMD gets the job done and is easier on the wallet.
  If you can afford the Intel then by all means get it.

  As things stand now with video cards, any gaming card will do just fine. Unless again, you have the money to spend on a FireGL. In my opinion, it's not necessary to get a professionall high end card, it just makes the viewports run smoother and look prettier. Even if you just got yourself one of the high end gaming cards you'll save yourself some money and still have a good performing card.
