    I'm currentlly running:

    AMD athlon T-bird 1.33ghz
    512mb ddr ram
    geforce 3

    so far so good. I do 3D work mainly, but am often contracted to do AfterFX. I could use some more ram in my machine but current specs are fine. I'm putting together another machine right now, specs are:

    AMD athlon fx +2500 Barton core (hope to OC to 2.2ghz +3200 speeds)
    ATi Radeon 9800(will mod to a pro
    1gb of ram

    All for just under $1000. This should hold me over for awhile til the Athlon 64 enters and settles in the market.
