"Peter Babbidge has a job for life and terminal bowel cancer. The only place left to go is deep, unending misery, the crushing reality of forever"

This right here is a rich enough brief to put spark to the flames of productivity. We can just apply the trusted rules of short run sitcommery and devote each of about eight episodes to a well rounded theme.

    Peter Babbidge and "sexual relationships"
    - and "Unfulfilled dreams"
    - and the death of ambition
    - and the loss of self worth
    - and the collapse of hope
    - and morality's resignation.

It needs a sort of comedy foil, like a hilarious housekeeper or a pantomime-esque gay landlord but the key here will be that they just aren't fucking funny, not at all, in fact they are massively tragic, so that even the well timed light relief has failed terminally.

    • I like it so much I want to spew uncontrollably, until black bile stains my shoeskelpie
    • I'm going to have to go to bed now, but I am excited by our sitcom and will sleep on it, only to abandon it first thing in the morning.
