^^ morilla, and others, for the record, I was and am extremely distressed and saddened concerning the events that led us into the war in Iraq. Yes, the truth can and does hurt. And sometimes, perhaps it's best that we don't learn of the truth. But not in this case.

I am also still very saddened and angry concerning the attack of 9/11. And despite the notion that our foreign policy had much, if not everything to do with provoking the attack, I do not believe that America should ever stand-down, following such an event.

But ultimately, these statements contradict themselves and are somewhat irresolvable. In the end, war and defense result from, and become, a perpetual "eye, for an eye, for an eye"— which finally suggest that one defends themselves, or becomes conquered.

So, to all those that oppose war, so be it. However, America would not be the country that she is without having possessed, in just 300 short years, the most powerful military forces on earth.
