My thoughts...
Everything is huge. The eyes can't focus on anything coz everything screams out for attention.
The use of the same font throughout the design and the use of colour (or lack of colour) makes it a little dull and not welcoming.
Check the left edge of the gray bar at the top. Left of the logo. You are missing about 20 pixels of the gray background. Zoom in on that edge and you'll see what I mean.
The blur on the images is too harsh. The people in the back are not lined up a the same distance. Some should have less of the blur than others.
Text in the buttons should be a few pixels up.
Does not work on 1024 x 768. Only the banner is visible at this screen resolution.
Type is too tight. Play with the tracking.
