It was class, although the story lines never changed:
Sam arrives in persons body.
Al turns up with a vague outline of why he is there although ziggy is a bit unsure, Sam leads with his instinct (lets say for example the characters sister is in danger) Al turns up normally from a girls locker room or room with an naked girl in, talks to Sam, and makes Sam look like he is insane talking to himself, then the episode reaches the all important point of crash/murder etc, Al reappears to tell Sam that he isn't there to do what they originally thought, arrives at new situation just in time, changes history and leaps just when he is kissing his love interest.
