  I'm sorry but I think you should know the answer to this question.
  My guess is that those are not generic glasses, and that you must be paying for a tag.

  And technically every time you are paying for brand names you are over-paying, correct? There is a huge mark up that the brand puts on a product probably developed in asia for a couple of bucks (anywhere from $1 to $8) just to put a name on it.

  The question should not be, are these glasses worth $550 bucks, because they are not.

  Instead you should ask..
  Should I pay the huge mark up to wear these glasses?
