hi blog. i tried doing a push up this morning and collapsed as my left elbow gave out, my wrist seemed to also give which felt like it would snap... i can now though fully extend my arm at the elbow. but my wrist and fingers still have no strength in them. how long will this last?! im going crazy. i want to exercise, i lost so much weight in the last few weeks, i now need a belt to hold my jeans up, i went down 3 inches on my waist... i guess i cant complain as a lot of people dramatically try to lose weight and never can, i just have to sit still and not exercise for it to work.. meh.

    • get a small weight like 2.5 or 5 lbs and hold your arm out straight and just hold it there with the weight, slowly curl it towards you and just hold it periodically7point34
    • periodically stopping to just hold the weight. go up in weight slowly7point34
    • when your elbow feels stronger, do the push ups on your knuckles. better on the wrist and strengthens the hand7point34
    • on the knuckles? that sounds painful. even b4 i am already in pain.e-pill
    • yes i sorta do that with the weights now as part of my physical therapy.e-pill
    • also my thumb is where the real pain is, its where i landed first.e-pill
    • it hurts at first, but you get used to it. do it on a mat or carpet so it's not so hard7point34
    • but on the knuckles?? why on the knuckles?e-pill
    • look at the amount of stress you put on your wrist when doing a push up.7point34
    • knuckles keeps your entire arm and hand straight.7point34
    • thanks for the info, ill try it, but not soon, after this mornings collapse i think i will have to hold.e-pill
