    lynda.com is great, IMO.. but for visual learning.

    Development isn't really something you can just watch and learn since it's very logical and problem solving. It's better to have a reference/example book you can look up and flip through and learn as you go. Obviously there are things that will work great for visual learning such as structures, flow, and sample of changes in realtime, but watching someone type <...h...t...m...l...> is kinda lame :)

    However to see how to place photos in InDesign or Animate a box in Flash--it's wonderful.

    • ah, but you can learn about best practices from people who WORK in the field. I like that.
