    6% of the work force were laid off today. They are being very transparent about everything in regards to reasoning, and a clear vision to retaining as many employees as possible for years, and not months.

    Still ... I mean it's kind of a dick move to wait until Monday morning when they could have just as easily done this on Friday.

    Since the official word just came down from the president of our company, I can now talk about it with other associates who have been calling me asking questions all morning.

    Apparently the odds on me being canned are still extremely high. And by odds, I mean on the bets we have with each other. I talk about getting fired all the time, but it wouldn't make sense for them to get rid of me.

    Something tells me though that the funding for me going back to school is wiped out despite it being approved last fiscal year.
