you'll have problems using wmv source files no matter what route you go. it's a terrible format as far as compression goes.
install this into quicktime to allow wmv conversion:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows…this will let you open the wmv in quicktime and convert it to a .mov or anything else you might like from quicktime.
if you have flash the you'll have the flv conversion plugin in quicktime as an export setting. if you don't then there are a lot of apps around to convert .mov to .flv - like the one mentioned above.
