Although not a resort, I stayed for a week in La Moka, an eco resort where you stay in tree houses in the mountains
"Hotel Moka, Cuba
Part of a large-scale eco-project, this is a comfortable hotel by Cuban standards, lying an hour's drive west of Havana in the lush foothills of the Sierra del Rosario. Moka has some striking design features – a large tree rises up the through the roof of the lobby, and bathrooms have floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the surrounding forest. Horse riding and guided walks can be arranged (the birdwatching is fantastic). Don't expect great service or food – but that's Cuba for you."Then in the town of Trinidad, which just had the most eye wateringly beautiful beach. I stayed in a little yacht moored 20 metres off the beach, swam for my breakfast every morning. oh happy days
Playa Ancon. there was a couple of hotels there, nothing much more
mot much western tourism, might of changed. We used to sail for the day around the little islands that dot the coast there, and sunbathe there.
