The reason I offered it is because some people do not know how to create a website but create awesome music.
Plus they get to be attached to something. If they put their loops up on mediahead or something they have to go and brand themselves. Or maybe someone just happens upon their music.
All mediahead does is provide a way to show it. I am saying we are going to market the person for paying projects. Yes, it is pro bono. And for someone that already has stuff made why not use that stuff to promote yourself in another place. Shotgun approach...pellets in every direction - if you dont get the analogy....
Something may or may not come from it. But we are not making any money from the launch of our site. We are a design company and we are going to need music/effects on a regular basis.
Your record company analogy doesn't hold any water. Because I have done stuff like that to show off what I can do and it has worked for me because it is a portfolio piece. The company did not promote me but I promoted it to show what I have done. The person creating the music will now have more people trying to sell his or her stuff.
And thats all I was saying.
