All this talk of CSS has reminded me of when Illustrator used to allow you to code PostScript by hand. Learning a bit of it enabled me to be able decode postscript errors on our old imagesetter. It was always fun to be the apprentice and have a bunch of old hands around while I waded through pages of error code and I’d suddenly point to a line and say “There’s your problem! Offending stackerror 6906A. That means you have a font corruption on page 23. We’ll swap it out for a Type1 version and it’s good to go”.
Jaws would it the floor. (NOt trying to bignote myself, just reminiscing)
- that's funjuhls
- I always feel that having to code web work is almost as primitive as having to code postscript********
