I got a gig with a client through a staffing firm. They loved my work, experience, etc.
Once I started talking to the client, I found out they had actually recieved my resume 5 months earlier from a direct job ad they'd posted. But they just put the job ad up for show, they really only hired exclusively through the staffing firm.
