    I haven't seen it mentioned here, so I will note that a theory popping around is that the army chick on the island in the 50's may very well be Daniel's mother. Note that he said "you look so much like someone I used to know..."
    You could also then suggest that she may have gotten together with the young Widmore, making Widmore Daniel's father, and therefore Daniel and Penny siblings, or half siblings.
