So a few years back my mother wrote this book about my grandfather, who was in the Dutch resistance during WW2, got captured and executed. It's a noble story, but unfortunately my mother is a horrible writer. Linear plot was thrown out, the thing was littered with exclamation marks and she's the master of short no-verb sentences such as: "What a pair!" or "Not another one!"
