Just collected my brand new 84x dual Quad core Cray supermacomputer from the shop. Its still in its box. Given that I have had Adobo CS2 and 3 still in their sealed boxes for about a year while I carry on using CS1, it may well be another year or so before I decide to take the plunge and start using the new machine.

    Things I need to do:

    1. Get Dreamweaver (Doesn't come with standard versions of CS2&3)

    2. Get some font management (anybody got suggestions, recommendations?)

    3. Transfer the shit from my old computer to new one.

    4. Download Wacom, epson scanner and printer drivers. (Find out new drivers don't exist and end up spending additional 3k on all new peripherals... which is why I hate upgrading)

    5. Download Raw converter

    6. Establish internet connection, email accounts... make detailed notes about all the setting requirements for just about everything.

    7. Work out if I am still allowed to use the idisk service that they still charge me for yet which wont work properly any more (who do you complain to these days? Old days, Apple would help. New days, Apple 'Genius' will just say "You have to buy 'mobile me' now, you have to buy new this and that now, you have to buy your way out of incompatibilities.

    8. Apple fucking suck. Hard.
