    TheBIueOne, I understand where you are coming from. The thank you was like you passed her the salt at dinner and you wanted an acknowledgement of the effort and honesty you demonstrated. No tangible good or reward, but even something as simple as an added "it is really appreciated for you to go out of your way like this."

    But I bet she was embarrased and didn't know how to handle the situation. Not making excuses though... and I would have been taken aback by her response too.
