the last 4 days i spent working non stop almost 11 hours per day and i have developed a new drawing style and a new vision. i am no longer being limited to the 2D world and i am moving forward into 3D all in illustrator. the style i worked out is very time consuming and very detail heavy. the previous robot art would take me in hours less than 1 day, but now, its been over 50 hours and the image is barely past the head and torso.
i really cant wait to share this, and get some feedback.
all crits welcome.thanks and be on teh lookout.
:)
- sounds great, but how is having to spend hundreds of hours per drawing a good thing?********
- I know many artists that take months to complete their work. So...I guess if it makes you happy and you feel evolved...Jaline
- so, are you using a 3d app?Fariska
- for me its pure evolution. i am evolving my art and creative styles. moving forward.e-pill
- as an artist there is nothing better than to teach myself and learn something new i can use..e-pill
- im, using illustrator. but i figured a way to create a Z-Axis so i can create a fully 3D world.e-pill
- although im sure using a 3D app i could do this easier, but to me this is a challenge, and i want it!e-pill
- but back to rand... i think its only time consuming now because its all a new thing for me.e-pill
- i think once i do it often enough, i can get my initial speed back.
:)e-pill - lets hope it looks exactly the same as all the others.********
- i can honestly say it looks nothing like anything previous i ever done. :)e-pill
- Does it look like anything anybody else has ever done though???Horp
- well i guess that is up to the person looking at it.e-pill
- you have to imagine how much robot ref i have and use for it, so yes you may have seen similar.e-pill
- but its all new, for me. and im creating everything from scratch.
:)e-pill - also since this is the first of this style, i cant wait to see the evolution from here to ....e-pill
