It's the heaviest snow for 18 years, America, Canada and the Russians have exceedingly worse weather regularly, It is not cost effective to spend the millions it would cost to prepare for these things that happen in 18 year cycles, but if you want the government to pay for this and you be able to work no matter then expect to pay allot for it. Scotland does not get in such a fanckle because not many people live here.

- I remember catching a train New York to Toronto about 6 years ago. We were delayed in Buffalo for 6 hours...Khurram
