best to tell them upfront. because they may have to get immigration attorney involved, and they'll definitely have to do paperwork, etc. you should tell possible employer right off the bat about your need for a visa rather than springing it on them later (ie: when, say, they decide to hire you). that way they'll at least be prepared/fore-armed/have the most info in order to make obtaining the visa you require as painless/less of a timesuck as possible.
