I got married when I was 21. I was a lonely Marine and had no idea who I was or what I wanted in another person. I knew there were incompatibilities, but I didn't realize how significant they would prove to me. After about 5 years, I realized it we weren't "right" for each other, but around then we had our son, and we continued in varying states of "happiness" for 7 more years, until it became apparent, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that we needed to split.

The proverbial straw that broke the camel's back was when I caught her having sex with another couple at my 34th birthday party. Good times.

What's really sad is that I just broke up with my girlfriend because we had a worse relationship than I had with my ex wife! And believe me, my ex wife didn't set the bar very high! hahaha
