Sounds like a lot of propaganda used against the Tamils. The Government (or so the BBC report anyway) are being criticised for putting the public at risk with their bombing, even causing some civilian deaths, and yet are saying that the Tigers are using civilians as human sheilds.

I was going to ask you the other day, just out of noseyness, where your dad lived in the UK and how he found it when he was here. Just ignore if you don't want to reveal fambly details though eh.

    • The media are always just recycling the same propoganda tools. It's becoming very obvious.MrOneHundred
    • He lived in London. Not sure where, but he studied Engineering at a college there. I'll ask him later.Jaline
    • From pictures, I can tell that he met a lot of friends there, and had good times. It was the 70s/80s, after all.Jaline

    • I don't know about that stuff. He doesn't talk about everything.Jaline
    • I'm sure he mentioned the racism before. Which is hard to detect without asking outright.Jaline
    • Of course. I hope he didn't experience anything harsh.Horp
    • I hope so too.Jaline
