regardless of what anyone thinks of republicans or thier politics or whether he was put there for strategic reasons, I think we can all agree they seriously need an political and multi-tiered overhaul in order to effect any policy in this country going forward.
They may indeed take a nap for 8 years, maybe more but this kind of move is absolutely necessary for their party if they want the next generation of voters to even listen to what they have to say.
I hate to say it, but they would probably be vilified for whatever choice they made.
