I always love the "competing agenda" arguments that those in power and those who defend them make. Let's see an oil company creates a front group three stages removed with the message "Well, you see, the oil industry really makes money that belongs to the general public. Oh, and here's a pony and some fairy dust for you."
And a lone scholar with limited resources who can't get her story in any major media outlet told, is said to have an "obvious agenda" and somehow these two things are equal.
