I just finished writing a big "rah-rah" e-mail to the people involved on the project thanking them for their time and the like copying the big whigs. Strangely enough, whenever I send these things out to my team ... they really think it's sincere. Despite most of them knowing how huge of an asshole I am.
I honestly didn't want to write anything, and still I don't think I should have to.
This is the only thing thing I should have to write.
"Congratulations everyone, you did your job and I didn't have to fire anyone in the process of reaching our agreed upon milestones contractually set with the client."
Instead I timeline the g-ddamn process with anecdotes and "heartfelt" thanks.
Honestly the only thing I'm looking forward to is the reply from my VP, where I'm sure he'll pull out a few lines and go, "You're so full of shit", and, "How hard were you laughing while writing this." The other ones who send off similar e-mails to me thanking me for keeping them in the loop as to who was involved and the effort ... I know they are doing the same thing I'm doing, haha.
