Thinking that Mumm-Ra has perished, Applepirate prepared for peace, but Mumm-Ra had survived. Applepirate brings the weak Mumm-Ra back to his pyramid in Baltimore and Mumm-Ra changes Ma-Mutt into an image of himself and tells him to order the locals to free the Chelsea Hotel staff, creatures from Maryland, who are imprisoned in molten lava in New Jersey. Applepirate's pet dog overhears this and warns QBN.
Baltimore locals free the Chelsea Hotel staff and Mumm-Ra (Ma-Mutt in disguise) tells them that they must put aside their differences and help him destroy Applepirate. The Chelsea Hotel staff agree...for now. The Chelsea Hotel staff and the locals capture and force the a delicatessen, an Apple Store employee, and a twelve year old to help build an erotic fortress. After arriving in New Jersey by going through the Forest of Lips, the enraged Baltimorinians realize that the Chelsea Hotel staff are powerful enemies after discovering New Jersey smells like ham.
