I just had a problem in jag with the the installers, and it would say "driver not installed", even when it said it succesfully installed.
SO, I went and threw away all the printers in the Library, and added my printer from the original discs that came with the CPU.
then it worked.
If you call apple tech support they will walk you through it for free.
