Tell me, what other area of computers is even half as glamorous as design? Should I be strictly a developer and have an ASCII-orgy? I think not...
There are many, many more CS-graduate drones out there who work in cubicle farms coding shit for a living. There are wire-pullers who set up the local library's computers. There are the MSCE Tech-Support Monkies.
I'd rather be a designer any day.
