regarding this image http://www.transfatty.com/johnny…
and the mix mp3...mixing johnny cash over boards of canada although "spiritual" for the
american dj, is poor taste because it lacks any dignified respect for the
global electronic music community, specifically those who made it.altho i
respect him as a musician, and a person. it was a quick easy way to produce
an image that is so desperatly sought by the troubled american artist. that
said, i understand you, your search for something meaningful. it is not easy
to fit national identity into a global picture.canadian policy has always been superior to the american counterpart, and
that is part of the reason people laugh at americans as they try to bring
"democracy" to the middle east. laugh, but sigh despair afterwards. boards
of canada was named thus because it has a sophisticated social structure
that supports artists in a way like no other. this is why many americans by
and large have a deep seeded resentment for their northern brothers, because
canadians developed without the destructive forces of south carolina and all
the strange idealogies that evolved from there.richard james, and warp are British based. and do not forget that america
broke from the british empire, in their search for "independance" only to be
strangely united through greed and mutual stupidity in 2003. ironic dont u
think (u probably have already checked this site, but i am sure that u will
understand what i mean when i say http://www.thebaghdadblog.com/ho… watch
the promo. featuring aphex) its blatantly obvious that the worldcentric
idealogy of human sanctity is not agreed with by veteran ravers. and anyone
with any sense knows innocent death is absolutely wrong no matter what way u
put it. and when johnny cash says all those who have died, have not died in
vein. the contextual understanding of his words, in light of current events,
makes an interpretation of the opposite. that innocent death is justifiable.
think about that for a minute and while you hang up your catholic priest
robe i suggest u also contemplate the us rightwing notion of "original sin."
as justifiable death and it are often related. all people are inherently
good, and do bad things involuntarily.if i am wrong, of which i admit i could be, please feel free to let me know
why u did what u did?
