^ I once walked across the Brooklyn bridge into Brroklyn to find (I think) the temporary Moma site or some other gallery (I forget now) and nobody over that bridge, nobody at all, not one single person, could understand a single word I said, no matter how clearly or slowly, or loudly I spoke.

When I was over at Killthefish's in Cumberland, my Sat Nav wouldn't take me to his house. I pulled over to ask a family if they could help me find the right road as it was merely metres away and again it didn't matter how slowly, clearly or loudly I tried to speak to them in our shared language, they could not understand a single word. They were pulling frowny faces and saying "You French?... Arab? Honey I think he's an Arab..." and I'm going CAN. YOU. TELL. ME. WHERE. THIS. ROAD. IS. HERE. and pointing to my map.

    Fucking nightmare.
