    here's how i understand it:

    hamas(the crazy Palestinians) is terrible! the fatah party(normal palestinians)have tried to make peace. as long as hamas is around there will be fighting.

    all the muslim nations came together a few years and agreed that israel could exist permanently; they asked that israel give back land conquered in war; israel rejected this. (this was camp david with clinton?) shortly after that rejection hamas took power.
