    Not a lot but it all depends by the webserver.

    Aren't both considered TLDs?
    Yes, being the urls read right to left in a hierarchical way

    Aren't they both pointing towards the same authoritative server?
    Yes and here happens the problem:
    if the server is configured to recognize just dadada.com and point it to some folder or if it requires specifically the www to do that.

    I guess my question is how do I make sure either address goes to the same directory in www.dadada.com?
    Ask your registrar / check on the control panel how are the settings.
