I'm going to hang up my vocational gloves this year. Maybe by summer. Its time to re-train in something entirely different and move on. The realisation just hit me like a sledgehammer as I watched all these Broadcasts flickering past and realising I am not qualified to even comment in 95% of them due to my total lack of knowledge about the subject matter.
I'm not going to make it any further in this form. I am floundering and falling further and further behind the zeitgeist. Thing is, if I think about making the changes that would be required... stick to one style of work, make it sharp and vivid and digital and 3d and just do that over and over again... I also realise I don't want to catch up.
Its quite refreshing to make these kind of decisions I think. I have always found the fear of the unknown is more stimulating than familiarity. I wonder what I will be two years from now. Maybe something with words and yacking on and on... regional radio disc jockey... Hi Folks! You're listening to Mungchester Music Radio FM: The Hits, The Shits, The Squits and Me.... Spoo...ooo...oooky-TEEEE! (honks horn, squeezes klaxon, plays sound file of a cow mooing).
Sounds about right.
