It would take too long to explain the whole lineage.
    Maybe it's a canadian thing..

Breakcore came, mostly from hardcore techno, jungle and drum and bass, and so, there is this whole group of wanna be jamaican junglists, who, in the absence of jungle combined with the post candy raver / hardcore techno crowd and formed (what I call) breakcore hippies.

The have the hippie-style naive idealism along with a taste for hard drugs and fast music. Almost always smelly, wearing dreadlocks, and think that raves and stuff are still great, like tacky art and bad clothes. Are xenophobic to any other musical and cultures ideas that aren't either Jamaican (so they listen to some dance hall), rave-derived (you'll see them at dubstep shows), extremely fast (may include metal) or intricately complex (they like aphex twin and squarepusher).

    • Ah. We call those "modern primitives" around here.Corvo2
    • a canadian thing? no.horton
