Does anyone like Agatha Christie? Pick up one of her books someday. The novel about colonel Johnny Race, for example, has interesting everyday life descriptions about life in England in 1930s -- british imperium at its peak. Colonel Johnny Race had a maid working for him in his home. What do you think was the difference in their income -- the colonel and his maid? If today the colonel would probably make 2-3 times more than the maid, what about the 1930s? A hundred times more.
This very vast middle class, which we have today and which grew so quickly on mass-printed money and on very deft exploitation of the third world work force, will inevitably come to an end. Basically, what will happen is that the middle class will deflate back to the level of 1930s, and you will have a super rich ruling elite (the same as the rich people of today -- nothing will happen to them) which will eventually get all control over the entire economic apparatus.
