We have separate checking accounts that we can both access and to also transfer fundage. She used to pay for utilities, now I just pay for everything (mortgage, insurance, cars, utils, etc). We were thinking of opening an account that we both share that would be exclusively for "extra things", like vacations, clothing and the like...that we both MUST make the same contribution to. Now of course, that account is called my savings account.
