    And my all time favorite...The Fall
    I would probably call this genre my favorite. Sooo so many good and innovative bands came out of the traditional "punk" movement (the 74-78 bands traditionally considered punk).
    I think PIL were infinitely more interesting than anything the sex pistols did. Bands like The Fall, Wire, The Bauhaus, Liquid Liquid, Minutemen, The Birthday Party, The Wedding Present, Swans and on and on...offered so much more exploratory and experimental than anything that had been going on in mainstream punk. Brilliant!
