Nah, it'd have to be the case otherwise he's shooting himself in the foot. I think 23kons point is it could be easy for someone to think its all his depending on how the piece is displayed. I doubt someone would have the enormous, cast-iron elephant balls to ask for submissions from designers around the world, only to pass it all off as their own work.
That kind person would have to not want to work in the industry at all when they graduated, cos word gets around.
