melbourne has lots of smaller studios, sydney probably has more agencies. melbourne IS a better city. trust me - i'm not biased, i'm from tassie originally and sydney is a poop.
do a search here for aus studios/agencies, there's a huge list.
if you're work is good - you'll find work for sure. the industry is booming here IMHO.

- In Melbs, you can't head out to the beach after work in summer and surf for a couple of hours in boardies ;)enfocusmedia
- But Melbs has a way stronger 'creative' scene than Sydney... so the 'poop', er I mean choice is yours lolenfocusmedia
- and both cities are just a skip from eachother, so wherever you end up - you can just get on a plane and be in other city within two hour.ravi
