my only living grandparent is my dad's father.
he is 90 years old and is still doing fairly well for himself. most cylinders are still firing.
served twice in WWII in the navy. served one tour and then he was drafted by the army. after a month or so he finally got a hold of some high up and said: hey look, i'm navy trained. if i have to serve again put me back in the navy. they agreed. one of the ships he was on was blown out of the water. he was at normandy.
