and just to be absolutely crystal clear––my note to amicus about yammering on wasn't meant to be cold. i just thought it'd be best for his psyche if he quit thinking about it. i.e., no big deal. life goes on.
i love this new habit of explaining myself. surprisingly, it doesn't feel self-conscious at all.
