while i am no expert on the subject, i believe sushi is traditionally any "roll" of rice and vegetable and/or fish. sashimi is an uncooked cut of fish.
some sushi is prepared and cooked. not all is raw. some can be "cooked" in lemon juice as the acidity actually cooks the fish.
either way it's fucking delicious and now my mouth is watering
