  After I lost my job, I quietly put the feelers out for my old job (where I almost got fired for “excessive internet use”). The word was good but on the QT, so my old boss didn’t know I was desperate.

  I mentioned what I’d done in passing to my old, old freelance agent and she RANG MY OLD BOSS AND TRIED TO PLACE ME THERE AND GET A COMMISSION!!!! She told him I was desperate and was even trying to negotiate a salary package.

  Needless to say, I can’t go back there now.
