in pure wandering fashion i stumbled upon a genuine brothel today in oaktown. salon de france. i thought, well .. it'd be convenient. never know .. hmm .. could be a nice salon. walk walk walk on up. sign says open. open the door. short, old man dressed rather smartly but seems uncomfortable and rushing me to talk. can i have a list of your services? no. nothing available like that. okay. wander around. notice amazing wallpaper. different on every wall. inlaid with gold foil and a variety of muted colors. i want to begin photographing everything! laughter and soft talking from upstairs. sounds like a couple of black women entertaining. short man is more hurried with me. what do i want? i'll leave. it's okay. i'll leave now. i'm in a daze. i was just in a brothel. that was cool.
