My thoughts:
1) Resignation or not, the officer should be forcing manslaughter charges nd they should be brought immediately.
2) I have no love of police forces, but I do respect the difficulty of job they do.
3) I do not believe the officer discharged his weapon on purpose. I think it was a tragic mistake on is part due to poor training and the now ubiquitous use of tasers by police. I think he believed he was using his taser and not his firearm. That said, I see nothing in the video to indicate th use of a Taser was necessary. His actions and judgement led directly to and are the sole cause of the individuals death. Since I don't think their was intent involved, I don't see murder as a viable charge. I do see the highest level of manslaughter charges being invoked.
4) Take tasers out of the police arsenal. They are terrible, terrible instruments.
