Dear Londoners:
Please stop complaining. Yes, the economy is going belly up and Boris is in charge, but despite what some in the media would have you believe, you will not get knifed by an unknown assailant this year. (In 2008 only around 100 people were killed in stabbings out of a population of 7.3 million.)You will not lose your house to the banks (there are 18 million homes in the UK according to national statistics and reposessions for 2008 are estimated at 45,000).
Most kids have something to say if you listen.
The vast majority of you will still have some kind of job... oh, you get the idea. Please, please stop whining. Life is great, and on top of that you live in one of the best cities in the world. Enjoy it. Have a Happy New Year.
