We've got kinda L shaped ones, 60 cm deep sounds about right and the edges but they're curved so in the middle its deeper, possibly twice that. All just depends on how much shite you tend to keep on it, ie scanner, tower, flat screen monitor would be fine on that but a or CRT monitor or drawing board would need more space.
