I think they were milking it a bit but he is obviously suffering from a lot of genuine problems. I think his kid was spot on when he was saying that Gazza doesn't know who he is and can't get over his football career. He had the problems while playing football but had mass adoration too, now he has to live with himself and work out what his life is about now. We've just had some in the family going through exactly the same thing which turned to constant drinking and trying to push away everyone close. I've got others in the family with the same disorders he was talking about. You can see a similar struggle. He has never grown up. You can't grow up emotionally when you're pissed all the time.
